UNOOSA

President
My name is Nicolás Velásquez and I am a 11th grade student. I'm involved in the UN model since 6th grade. Since then I've participated in 9 UN models, including the last GCBMUN, in which I participated as the academic support to the World Health Organization committee. I like the UN models because they taught to take roles, to defend them and to create solutions for world problems. I am really passionate about science, technology and the environment, so I hope that you get more involved in these topics after this committee.
Vicepresident
My name is Maria Alejandra Ramirez Suelt and I am a student on Eleventh grade. My experience in UN started in fifth grade as a floor secretary and also in seventh grade as a delegate. In addition, I was the author of the new GCBMUN guide's format. Eventhough my interest in this project at the start was not as big as now, soon I learned to love the model and its experience. From my perspective, the model has been a big challenge, but also a great oportunity to grow as an individual and develop oratory and research skills. Most importantly it demostrates that no matter how introverted you are, still you can speak your mind to contribute in solving world problems. I am specially glad to form part of the chair of this committee and to inspire you to have a great interest in science, technology and innovation.
